Sorry it took us a while, but we're backkkkkkkk!

Mike here, This past Sunday I hosted the second annual "Christmas Medley" in which the proceeds went directly to an orphanage in Bohol, PI. Performers from all over California came through, from Gabe Bondoc to Krystle Tugadi, and my very close friends 40% and Kiana Lopez also came out. Heres some footage from the event, thank you to all who made it out, it was truly a special night for all of us and the kids.

Haven't posted in almost a month! yikes... I lost my memory card for my camera =( hopefully I find it so I can update with pics.

ANYWAY!

This past weekend I was up in the Yay Area for the World of Dance Tour:

There were thousands of people there, this whole dance scene is bananas.

After the show, Chris Cruz and I headed to San Francisco to do a guest DJ set at BOSS. It was nice venue, responsive crowd, and I found out that certain people we knew are strippers. Yayyyyyyyy ARRREEEAAAAAAAA...

Its been a long week for the both of us, from being in Las Vegas for Magic then coming home to DJ Thursday-Sunday. Yikes. But heres some cool stuff.

Big up to my boy DJ WONTYME for hooking us up with the suite at the Wynn Hotel. Heres a little peak of our view. BTW The Wynn hotel has a European style pool. Which means boobies were EVERYWHERE!!

Also, if youre down to spend 600 dollars a night at a hotel. The Wynn South Tower Suites is well worth it!

WHAT. A. MORNING.

About 2 hours before I posted this I came home from Mike's house. We came home late so I decided to crash there for a little bit.

So imagine wanting to come home to your comfortable bed after a long night/early morning only to get cock blocked... by police.

I was riding the elevator up from the parking garage and noticed Marc left for work early. I exited the elevator doors and there was some tall guy standing in the elevator hallway.. I found it kinda odd that he was just standing there. I didnt think anything of it until....................

I try opening my door and he yells HEY, COME HERE.. and im thinking WTF? Who IS you?

He told me to sit down (theres a ledge in front of my door) and show me some ID. He wasnt in uniform so I thought he was the rent-a-cops at first so im giving him a very puzzled look. So I'm about to sit, but before I do I reach for my phone out my back pocket (not a very smart move)... He flinches and tells me "I told you to sit down, let me see your hands, do you have any weapons, oink oink" and comes closer and thats when I see his badge around his neck. COSTA MESA POLICE.

So he does the whole "You live here, who lives here, whats your name, yada yada yada..." And I'm sitting there with a confused look thinking what the fuck is going on?

He says, "We have a warrant for the arrest of the people who live here at 112..." Im thinking "oh fuck... I should have payed those parking tickets" LOL.

Then came the "Put your arms behind your back" and he searches me.. (Mind you, this is in front of my place while my neighbors are coming out on their way to work) He calls in my name to the walkie talkie lady. Im nervous at this point.

More questions.

Thirty five minutes pass by and Im thinking "damn marc, what did you get us into!"

Just then, some other suave dressed character with the same badge around his neck, and vest popping out his shirt, comes with some papers. Its his parter.. and together they look like the under-covers you see in movies (think Bad Boys I and II)

Turns out they're actually looking for the previous tenants of our place. *Whew*

He gives me back my ID and tells me if the guys ever come back, be sure to notify the police. I tell him, give me 40 minutes of my morning back.

BUT, thank you fine officers of the Costa Mesa Police Department for giving me something to blog about.

Today I rolled down to RIF LA in Little Tokyo, Downtown Los Angeles to visit the homie Jeffrey Malabanan. I spotted Jeff working hard helping out customers, while lazy ed was smoking outside.

So I finally got to watch the hilariously anticipated "Pineapple Express"

Summary: There were some pretty funny moments in the movie, but I would personally say there were a lot more funny quotes than funny actions... ironically the movie is titled under "action-comedy"

Quote: "You're in the jungle now, baby!"

Thoughts: Maybe I would have to watch it a second time. The first time I watched many of my all-time favorite movies I felt the same way; this may be one of them.

Rating: For me, 3 out of 5 stars.

Reason: The trailer made the movie seem very funny, I think they pretty much put all the funny stuff in the trailer though.

Side Note: Paper Planes was no where in the movie! Although if you did catch it, the silly 80's hit "Der Kommissar" was! hahaha!

Since this movie has released, now the great summer debate, "Step Brothers? or Pineapple Express?"

I would have to say.... STEP BROTHERS.

WIll Farrell is ALWAYS a funny guy to watch even if the movie itself is bad (e.g., Semi-Pro), and together with John C. Reilly, it's a combo that has worked very well in the past.

However, I will give some credit to James Franco for playing a pretty funny role coming from an emo-ass bitch from the Spiderman movies. He was a bit more funnier than Seth Rogan =(

Maybe Mike E can shed some light...

For now, it's time to see if my new ice trays from Ikea have frozen =) more update on that later. I'll end with:

I woke up this morning and worked on a few tracks, and guess who was in front of my house? Jamaica and her friend Maryanne. We had lunch at Carson's infamous "S&D" if you dont know about it, ask about it! Then me and Jamaica went to Ikea to go studio furniture shopping, no luck.

New friend of the day.

Jamaica Mayo, is by far, THEE greatest person I've ever met. I wanna thank her for accompanying me to Ikea and for finding the 8" legs for my future shelf. She also motivated my lazy ass to walk through stairs, rather than taking the elevator. Yea, she's pretty much.. AMAZING!

Last week my brother Jeromey the Homie had a brilliant idea of going to San Diego's Wild Animal Park before school starts in the Fall. Mike and I decided it would be good to get out of the city and be one with nature. Mission Accomplished.

A little pit-stop before we hit the road. Side Note: Every time I go to Yoshinoya the movie Knocked Up comes to mind where Jay says that everything great comes in pairs... "Panda Express and Yoshinoya Beef Bowl" Hahaha!

And yes, even this little slut came with us...

45 mins later we got to Mira Mesa where we picked up the tickets, our other cousin Adrian, and April McFarland AKA "Whore".

After 15 mins on the 15N we passed some wild ostriches, a couple farmers, and we finally got there!

And here's where the REAL adventure began...

After snapping the picture above, some white couple said outloud "hey thats a nice pose for a picture"... I found it odd that they took Mikes idea AND asked us to take the same exact picture, so I decided to take pictures of random white people in action for the rest of the day. Thanks you two, haha.

And it's not over.....

We took a break from all the wild animals to find kids getting their faces painted. Being the obnoxious people of the park, we started talking outloud about "what if they painted.... (fill in the blank)..." And thats where one of us asked the facepainter (ironically he was white) if the he could do the "Joker" from the new Batman movie.. The facepaint guy goes on rambling about how people ask that all the time and how GREAT he is at doing the Joker. He pretty much made it seem like he was THEE make-up artist for The Dark Knight himself. A nearby kid who overheard us thought it was the coolest idea to have that painted...

From the looks of the pictures, I dont think he was too happy. What... A... Sucker.

Late night fix.

Wednesday night (as with every other night), I couldnt sleep. And as I was telling my friend Justin Bocatija A.K.A. DJ Justyle, sometimes our best work comes out of extreme boredom. That being said... Justin came over to 112 to session at 2:30AM to try and make that happen. Didn't work. lol.. but we did have some good ol' fun.

3 turntables, 2 mixers, 2 serato boxes, 2 macbooks, 2 m-audio speakers, and 1 imac to record on = endless hours of fun

We only got 30mins of our 3 1/3 hour session recorded (Garage Band is really limited), BUT! it made me proud to know we did it in one unrehearsed take.

Room 112's neighbor Leear Jaudalso is celebrating her 20th bday today. Room 112 went with her to celebrate her bday in Hollywood last night where I learned a couple things.

1. Jose Cuervo doesn't fuck around.
2. If you've had a lot to drink and you need to pee on the freeway, pee on the freeway.
3. If you're trying to open your apt door and it's not opening after 30 minutes of trying, its probably not your place.
4. I still can't manage to sleep before 5AM

AHHHH.. just got back from taking my last final. Drove from Carson to Costa Mesa, to Cypress, and back to Costa Mesa, all while my gas was on the "light"!!! so if you're thinking about a Hybrid car... GET ONE.

Also, the studio is almost done! Mike is there as we speak talking to the subcontractors/movers, making sure everything goes down smooooooth. Can't wait.

Mike "e" will be at Tasty Thursdays going down every Thursday @ Wasabis in Downtown Long Beach. Its been pretty damn good lately, all my 21+ come check it out.

And most of you already know how Good Friday @ the Avalon goes. This week its a Beach Night, A.K.A. an excuse for the girls to be as naked as they're allowed to be!

Loosing the BLOG virginity

On another note... We're both pretty tired from the long drive back from our 1-day Vegas trip... or... it could be the two bowls of Yoshinoya we each JUST ate.

Leaving our hotel in 113 degree weather... yikes.

Shout out to DJ Mike E for being a hater and to Jeff Malabanan for inspiring this idea. Thanks for giving us a new thing to waste our time with Jeff.
